I’m Nic — a mum of three, wife, creative thinker and someone who genuinely loves what I do.
After 16 years working at design agency Cactus Creative in Kendal, I took the leap into freelance life in 2021. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a brilliant mix of businesses, brands and people, creating everything from branding and packaging to print and digital.
I believe good design should look great, but it should also have a purpose. I like getting under the skin of a project, understanding what makes a business tick and finding the creative idea that brings everything together.
I’m naturally curious, love a good creative challenge and enjoy working closely with people to turn an initial idea into something that feels just right.
Working in an agency gave me the chance to work across a huge variety of projects, clients and industries. It taught me how to think creatively, solve problems, work to tight deadlines and, importantly, how to get things done.
Going freelance has given me the freedom to bring all of that experience to my own projects, while keeping things personal, straightforward and collaborative, I use a talented group of copywriters, photographers, illustrators and printers to make sure the end result is the best it can be!
